LamboDesigns is back

I've been busy since leaving the engineering gig in Dallas and moving to Steamboat Springs.  Our time has been focused on remodeling our house and having a little bit of fun in the mountains either skiing or biking.  The house is starting to take shape after a total gut to the studs refurb so it's time to get the web site back on line and share in the results.

The Remodel

The house started as a coal mining house located at Mt. Harris approximately 15 miles west of Steamboat and was moved to town in the early 60s after the mine went bankrupt.  The house was then added on to a couple of times and reworked..... making for some interesting "finds" behind the walls because no building codes were used back then. The remodel consists of gutting the house to the studs and starting over a bit at a time since we are also living in the house through it all.  We also added all new windows along with siding, doors, and lots of new insulation which has helped a lot since we heat with a wood stove.
